What is an Australian Labradoodle? 


A labradoodle is a cross between a purebred lab and purebred poodle, either standard or miniature. The breed was first developed in Australia in the 1970’s when the Royal Guide Dog Association of Australia was working to create an allergy friendly guide dog and has since become a popular pet due to the allergy friendly and low to no shed coat coupled with an easy going, friendly disposition. Although different breeds were used in the initial fine tuning of the breed, today around the world three breeds are now used to make the Australian Labradoodle: Labrador Retriever, Poodle and Cocker Spaniel (English or American).

Sociable, smart and affectionate, the breed is sought after as a pet as well as a therapy and service dog and is also known to be easy to train, intuitive and loyal. Moderately active and athletic, your labradoodle may well love to hike, swim and play fetch and enjoys daily mental stimulation. Besides being a wonderful allergy friendly family companion, service roles labradoodles are used for include seizure alert, diabetic alert, service, and therapy work. The labradoodle is also a desirable dog for sporting and agility competitions.

The Australian Labradoodle comes in three sizes: mini, medium, and standard, There are two allergy friendly coat types: fleece and wool. The four basic colors of black, yellow, caramel, and chocolate appear in a variety of different shades and patterns. Consistency in temperament and coat in the labradoodle is still being developed.

Our Multigenerational Australian Labradoodles are in line with all Fully Health Tested and Guaranteed Labradoodles.

$500.00 Application Fee/Non-Refundable Deposit (The deposit is applied towards your balance) 
Remaining Balance due at 6 weeks old 
Puppies are picked in the order that we receive your deposit. When you are assigned to a litter - you will be assigned a picking spot. This picking spot is the order that you will choose your puppy from the litter. 
Please fill out an Adoption Application and submit with your deposit to be placed on the Reservation List for a litter. You will be contacted within 48 hours to confirm your reservation.

Once a pregnancy is confirmed, you will receive confirmation and notifications throughout the pregnancy. When a litter is born, you will receive a birth announcement with pictures. 

Who are we and why did we choose Australian Labradoodles?


Welcome to our page, we are the Girard Family! We live in Prairieville Louisiana, where we love everything outdoors and family.  Our home  consist of lots of love, laughter, our human babies and fur babies, which can be very fun and never dull.  Our children and puppies are the center of our world, as we include them in everything that we do!

First we have Ethan, his smile can light up any room that he walks into, his giggle can change your life and he is such a gift.  Ethan has autism, is non verbal but has taught us more about life than any book.  He truly enjoys the little things life has to offer and nature.  If he's outside he is happy.  Our pups have been amazing part on his journey in life.  He love to help get their food and water as part of his daily routine.  This in itself has been instrumental in helping him learn responsibilities and structure. 

Next we have our beautiful Demi, our lover of all things but mostly "The Puppies"!  Demi is our lovable child who also has autism, and has recently started talking since we started with the pups.  The puppies have been incredible for her growth as a young lady in learning to help care for them, make sure they are clean and well cared for. One of Demi's "jobs" is to help play with the dogs and puppies.  This give our puppies the unique opportunity to be around individuals with special needs. 

Last but not least our sweet and sassy Frannie, you will see her on a lot of our lives on Facebook/Instagram/TikTok as she is instrumental in our fur babies lives.  She helps with everything that has to do with the puppies, from taking notes, playing, feeding, therapy, pictures, you name it she does it.  Our sweet youngest is such a little mommy spirit she just can not help but help!

Now that you have a little information about our family let's get to the why we chose Australian Labradoodles.  As mentioned above we have 2 children with special needs, this can come as a challenge to families so we turn to research.  We had toyed with the idea to get a dog for quite sometime and even worked with a service animal nonprofit organization at an Autism event we helped host years ago.  God's timing said to wait, and we did.  Fast forward a year, and in walks an Australian Labradoodle to our nutrition club.  Immediately, we knew this was the perfect breed.  Research began and we fell more in love.  We just knew this was the right breed for us, and families like ours.  Between temperament and their beauty we are just completely smitten by them and we know you will be to.  We hope to help families find their forever fur babies like we have.  We thank you for your interest in our babies and welcome you to the Saving Grace Family!
